Gulnura Chekirova

Researcher-analyst from Kyrgyzstan. Currently doing a MA in big data and machine learning in economics and finance at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and I work at BizExpert; an economic think tank in Bishkek. I have over 4 years’ experience in public-private dialogue and trade in Kyrgyzstan. I have a specialist degree in economics from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and took my first steps in analytics at the Public Policy School for young analysts. I have been involved in various research projects on open data, impact assessment, public-private dialogue, free economic zones, corruption, tax and administration issues in business. In 2016-17 I was part of an interdisciplinary working group on trade promotion under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic. My research interest in the framework of the EUCAM fellowship is trade relations between the EU and Kyrgyzstan, looking for instance at the Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP+).
