Tajik labour migration to Russia is well-known. Less familiar is the still small, though increasing, number of labour migrants going to the European Union and the United Kingdom. As opportunities in Russia decline, some Tajik workers find their way to the European continent. Who are these people, what do they do, and what should Tajikistan and Europe take into account while recognising this trend?
